Watershed Insights1

10-11 October, 2018  |  Nashville, Tenn.

Why Attend?

This exclusive, invitation-only event is a learning analytics summit centered on community, collaboration, and innovation. Join your peers for two days of knowledge sharing, feedback sessions, and strategy development about your current and future initiatives.

How is it different?

Building Community. The cattle-call approach to community just won't cut it. This is an environment and program designed for idea sharing and networking between visionaries, intrapreneurs, and innovators.

Cultivating Collaboration. The Summit is not made up of lectures or seminars—it's made for structured conversations. Session direction will be influenced by attendees so conversations can be engaging and productive.

What's the takeaway?

Inspiration isn't going to cut it. Other events are geared to deliver inspiration and hype for new concepts. This Summit isn't just about new ideas—it's about providing a blueprint for how to approach these ideas, the tools to execute on them, and a new network of practitioners on the same path.

Who will be there?

We've invited a select number of Watershed clients, fans, and learning analytics enthusiasts to the Insights Summit. Confirmed attendee organizations include practitioners from:

Adobe, Applied (AIT), AstraZeneca, Asurion, Athena Healthcare, Behr, Capital OneChange Healthcare, Chipotle, Christus Health, CVS, Dell, Google, Halliburton, Lundbeck, Moody's, Nebraska Medicine, PwC, SiteOne, Schlumberger, Verizon, Visa, and T-Mobile.

Planning for Your Trip

You're just a few days away from heading to Nashville, so we've put together a few recommendations to help you pack and prepare!

What should I pack?

We want to help make sure you have what you need in Nashville, so here's what we recommend including in your suitcase:

  • Insights: We suggest bringing business-casual-yet-comfy attire (e.g. khakis, slacks, skirts, button-up or polo shirts, etc.).

  • Topgolf: Clearly, you'll want to wear something that doesn't limit your golf swing so you can beat Mike. So, feel free to keep your daytime digs or throw on a pair of jeans and sneakers.

  • Be sure to bring a lightweight jacket or sweater for lower evening temps, which are currently predicted to be in the mid-60s.

  • This isn't a spectator sport! Make sure you pack your laptop and bring it with you to the event.

How do I get around?

Nashville is more like a big town than a small city, so you've got a few options to get around:

  • Get Lyft: We can't cover the cost of getting around, but we can help! At registration, you'll get an event Lyft credit to help cover a ride or two. We recommend scheduling your Lyft the night before. For help with scheduling a ride ahead of time, check this out.  Attendees can also catch a free van ride to RedPepper from the Fairlane lobby at 7:40am. Seating is limited and this will only be available on Day 1.

  • Bring your walking shoes: There's plenty to see on foot around the Fairlane and Red Pepper. If you need tips on yays and nays for walking adventures, ask us!

  • Try Bird or Lime Scooters. Motorized scooters are now in Nashville! Download the app, grab a scooter, and hop on. (Ride at your own risk).

Rolf & Daughters restaurant all the way! Their homemade pasta with squid ink are yum, and their bread is to die for. (Pro-Tip: Reservations are recommended.)

Check out the Oak Bar at the historic Hermitage Hotel. It has an amazing history coupled with Nashville's largest bourbon collection. Cheers!

—Abbey Smith

You can't visit Nashville without going to Robert's Western World. Named as the city's best honky tonk, Robert's promises an eclectic mix of classic Nashville you'll love.

—Bill Conran

Want to experience Nashville Hot Chicken? Try Hattie B’s. (Pro-Tip: Order online and then feel like a rockstar as you walk past the line that’s sure to be out the door.)
