Xapiapps Case Studies
Nebraska Medicine uses Xapimed with Watershed for multiple projects and observations. For example, xapimed captures data from weekly environmental rounding audits and presents that data in Watershed. This has made the process more efficient by enabling centralized, shareable, real-time access to the data, whereas previously, there was a significant lag in data being available due to manual data entry.
They also use Watershed and Xapimed as a turnkey solution that streamlines the data collection process for hand hygiene compliance observervations—providing accurate, real-time results required for any needed interventions.
MedStar Health used Xapimed to record observations from mock code blue simulations. Then, they combined this observation data with training data from an LMS course and mobile app to evaluate whether completion of the course and app usage led to better code blue performance.
What data is included?
Xapimed and Xapify send detailed xAPI data to Watershed. This includes:
- Observational checklist data. Including details of all observations recorded, when they were recorded, who recorded the observation, who was being observed, when people joined a simulation if they arrived at different times, and any comments.
- Skills, competencies, and pathways. xapimed and xapify skills, competencies, and pathways are tracked and can be reported on in Watershed.
- Elearning course data. From any xAPI courses hosted and launched from xapimed and xapify.
- Badge data. Including badges earned and expired.
